Today, I finally got around to watching the hour plus video. I wanted it to be quiet time where I could focus on every word they were saying and see where they stand on Mental Illnesses being that they were Christians. You never know, so I needed to find out how they would talk about Mental Illness and Christianity and how they would articulate having and overcoming OCD as a Christian. I watched it and I couldn’t be more grateful that I did. The video was very personal to me as I have struggled with OCD badly in my life, much worse in past years, but indeed it is a terrible disease as they very clearly explained.
I consider this a answer to prayer to the struggle I’m facing how to say some certain things about some topics I’m lived thru and experienced. Things that I don’t know how to say without saying too much about certain people, but still needing to talk about the impacts certain things have on certain issues and this is the topic of some of the things that I’m currently struggling with exactly how to say.
With all that said, they said some very important things about the facts about OCD, being a Christian and living with it and what it can do, and the true hope of living a better life, even with it, and hopefully ultimately it going away from a very bad stronghold it can be. Ultimately there is no help like the help of Jesus, how Jesus can help with your OCD struggle, and what He can do when you get close to Him, what a difference it makes in these disorders.
I encourage you to watch their video, even if you’ve struggled with any disorder that stems from OCD, like eating disorders, anxiety disorder, panic disorder etc. They hit the nail on the head with these important things that need to be said and above all, that there is hope with your OCD, Jesus can help you.
